Artist's Statement
After moving to Bridgenorth, I had the opportunity to take pottery classes at Green Heron Studio with Edwin Longueville.
Over the years, cement, chocolate, sculpture, hard shelled gourds, baking and life drawing filled any available leisure time.
Clay has certainly been the most challenging and exciting medium that I have worked with. The idea of starting with a piece of clay and ending with a teapot, bowl, or other piece of pottery appeals to me.
After many years of potting, there are still so many glazes, clays, firing methods, and decorative techniques left to experiment with. Currently, crystalline glazes, garden art, sculptural pieces, and red clay have captured my interest.
